Taste of Waikato at the Red Barn is a premium five course degustation lunch/dinner, showcasing the best of Waikato’s naturally produced food. Located in the heart of rural Waikato, this dining experience comes with its own touch of Kiwi style.
Taste of Waikato offers guests a relaxing afternoon/evening in the beautiful rural setting of this iconic 500 acre heritage farm. The Red Barn chefs will share stories of the fresh, locally sourced ingredients used for each dish, from the buttermilk of our farm’s dairy cows to the fish in local lakes and rivers.
Guests will leave with an unforgettable experience, an insight into the region’s growing food trade, and a real taste for the flavour of Waikato.
The Red Barn has been delivering quality hospitality for groups, functions and weddings for over 12 years. Allow 3 hours for the Taste of Waikato experience (can be delivered in 2.5 hours and start times can be tailored to individual group itineraries).

This is a group experience for a minimum of 20 adults and a maximum of 80. Smaller groups can be catered for; however, some elements of the experience and pricing will change.
Due to the nature of this experience, we are showcasing a variety of cuisine from the Waikato region. Therefore, this menu isn't suitable for strict vegetarians and vegans. We apologise in advance.
